Jeff Galloway Walk and Discussion
Run with Jeff Galloway on February 9 at Phidippides Running Stre in Sandy Springs. Thrive, a health and wellness company, is holding a Run-Walk-Run Your Way to Wellness event. Thrive founder Pam Lasier says the event will be an informative, inspirational, motivational, social running event.
Lasiers says "We start the moring off where Jeff will do a seminar on his Run-Walk-Run method. We'll do some light exercise with focus on stretching and core strength. We'll intertwince inspring and motivating discussions on nutrition and fat burning, injury prevention and treatment, increasing speed and endurance, motivation and training for a specific goal."
Thrive is looking to attract both novices and serious runners who want to try something a little different.

Locomotive Half Marathon & 5K - February 16 The annual Locomotive Half marathon & 5K will be held in Kennesaw starting at 7:30 a.m. The race takes place on a closed loop course with great views and lots of tree line roads. Warthog Waddle 5K & 1K - February 22 The Wiphan Warthog Waddle 5K/1K will take place in Roswell at the Fellowship Baptist Church. The run is a Peachtree Qualifier and boasts a fast flat course. The race helps raise money for Wiphan Care Ministries. The Wiphan Marketplace will be open before and after the race. The marketplace will feature crafts, food, and family fun.
