ABOUT THE RACE

The 6th Annual Race 2 Recycle helps to support Keep Atlanta Beautiful in empowering Atlanta’s communities to sustain cleaner and greener neighborhoods. KAtlB will be joined by WSB-TV’s Jovita Moore, who will be making her 6th appearance as master of ceremonies. The Race 2 Recycle supports recycling efforts by Keep Atlanta Beautiful, and proceeds from the race will go towards purchasing supplies for neighborhood cleanups and beautification projects, graffiti removal, and more. Bring your old running shoes, light bulbs, handheld devices, and eyeglasses to be recycled. This event is kid, stroller and dog-friendly. Fruit, snacks and water will be provided to all race participants.

- 7:30am Race Day Registration & Packet pick-up at Piedmont Park Pavillion.
- 8:30am 5K Start
- 10:00 Race 2 Recycle Awards

REGISTRATION FEES
5K fee = $25 adults/ $15 kids under 14.
After November 1st fee increases to $30. Register by Nov 1st to guarantee your t-shirt.

AWARDS & EXTRAS
Overall M & F; Masters M & F. First Place awards in the following age groups: 10 & Under, 11-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 over.

The 5K run/walk begins at 8:30am, followed by an Awards Ceremony with emcee, Jovita Moore, from WSBTV.
Fruit, snacks and water will be provided to all race participants. Register before November 1 to guarantee your 100% organic cotton Race 2 Recycle T-Shirt. Bring the kids, strollers, dogs – all are welcome!.

MARTA DIRECTIONS:
MARTA is strongly recommended. Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th until you reach Piedmont Avenue. Turn left on Piedmont Avenue and walk two blocks to the 12th Street gates of Piedmont Park. Upon entering the park, walk around Park Road towards the bath house and swimming pool. Registration and ceremony is located at the picnic pavilion across from the bath house.

PARKING:
You may park at the Sage parking deck off of Piedmont Rd. or in the neighborhood around the park. Upon entering the park, walk around Park Road towards the bath house and swimming pool. Registration and ceremony is located at the picnic pavilion across from the bath house.
